Conditional Formatting Examples : Zones
Conditional Formatting "zones" indicate the selection method to be used when applying logic across cells.
- Grids apply the logic across all cells in a grid
- Columns apply logic by each column independent of every other column
- Row apply logic by each row independent of every other row

Data bar example. The data bars are evaluated according to the "zone": for the entire grid (one color), by each column (3 colors) or by each row (multiple colors) | |||
Value Example. notice that the column or row percentage totals amount to 100%. For the grids, each cell across the entire grid contributes to a 100% total. |
